277 miles from Chongqing, Baidicheng located at the
entrance to Qutang Gorge and features Ba coffin relics, precious stone
tables & events of the Three Kingdoms. In the Western Han Dynasty, a
man named Gongsun Shu claimed himself to be white king and named the place
White King Town according to a legend which goes "when a white dragon
is seen flying out of a well in front of a hall, the white king is
born."
Zhangfi
Temple in Yuyang
Zhangfi Temple stands in the Fly Phoenix Mountain on the south bank of the
Yangtze River. It's 382km far away from Chongqing city and faces the other
side of Yangtze .In the honor of the remarkable general, Zhangfi, this
temple was first built at the end of Shuhan period, then enlarged during
the Song , Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Therefore, it has history of

Lotus
Cave in Fuling
Lotus cave is located at the joint point of Wu Rive and Lotus River in
Wulong County in Fuling city. It's a large limestone cave with the length
of 200 metres and the height of 30 to 50 metres. All kinds of sediments

Shibaozhai
Shibaozhai is
a gem of Chinese architecture. A wooden red pavilion 11 storeys high was

the pavilion.
Shennong Stream
The stream that rises from Shennong area is at the
north of the Yangtze River, flowing down through Badong County, meeting
Yangtze River at the East End of the Wu Gorge. Drifting rapidly on a pea -
boat is rather exiting and breathtaking. During the journey, you may see
the ancient roads, the ancient coffins in the precipice, and even some
rare animals such as golden - haired monkeys. You can experience the
natural scenery of the Tu Nations and learn about the colorful history.
Shennong Stream comprises of Parrot Gorge and Dragon Boat Gorge with
breathtaking scenery. Sailing through the treacherous gorges with lush
pine and translucent water, visitors can see spectacular sights like
ancient plank roads, ancient cave coffins, aqueous caves, rainbow fountain
and rare animals like macaques and mandarin ducks.

Fengdu
Traditionally known as city of Ghost, it attracts tourists with temple
and shrines dedicated to the gods of the underworld. Instruments of
torture and wild demon images are displayed and it is said ancient
mythology comes alive with wild demon images dedicated to gods of the
underworld, meant to remind people of the threat of the devil should they
misbehave in this lifetime. Upon the Mingshan Hill above the river is a
temple with a number of halls and statues of ghosts and devils. There is
also a park with displays of the imagined lives in hell. It is considered
that all people's ghosts, of whatever nationality, will come to Fengdu
after death.
Wanxian
The city received its present name during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644),
and became a foreign Treaty Port in 1902. As the halfway city between
Yichang and Chongqing, Wanxian was a main port for East Sichuan
merchandise (including large quantities of tung oil, used in treating
wooden junks.) early travelers commented on the huge number of junks
anchored at Wanxian. The city is known as the Gateway to East Sichuan. You
may visit silk-weaving factories and the Three Gorges Museum and enjoy the
exiting acrobatic show and take a leisurely tour of busy local market.
Visitors can see city's ten free markets sells local produce and seasonal
delicacies such as mountain mushrooms or live eels. There was a community
of foreign missionaries in Sichuan before 1949, and two churches - one
Catholic and one Protestant-continue to draw sizeable congregations of
country folk.
Wuhan
Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province. The Yangtze River and its
biggest tributary, Hanshui River, divide the city proper into three towns-Wuchang,
Handkou and Hanyang. Covering an area of 8,467 square kilometers and with
a population of 7.18 million, Wuhan is one of the largest inland cities in
China. It is a center of industry, finance, commerce, science, culture and
education, and a hub of railways, waterways, highways, aviation, post and
telecommunication of Central China. In history, Wuhan flourished through
its trade and commerce, and was the site of many wars. Located in a region
of rivers and lakes with favorable natural ,conditions, it abounded in
rice, the staple food of the Chinese. People in ancient times lived along
the banks of the water, which brought them prosperity and abundance. The
city was also a distribution and trade center for agricultural and
sideline products, and thanks to its convenient water transportation
merchants flocked to the place. Its position as an economic and commercial
center naturally made it the envy of the place. Its position as an

politicians and warlords, who continually fought to seize and hold the
city and its environs. Evidence of these struggles are the ruins,
discovered five kilometers to the north of Hankou, of Panlong City of the
Shang Dynasty which dates bace 3,500 years and Xiaguo City of the Three
Kingdoms period. Wuhan was a provincial, prefectural and regional seat at
different times. Of the three towns, Wuchang is the oldest, followed by
Hanyang and Hankou. It is said that some 300 years ago, nine tenths of the
citizens in Hankou were merchants. In modern and contemporary history,
Wuhan was also a revolutionary center on various occasions. The revolution
of 1911 led by Du. Sun Yat-sen began in Wuchang, resulting in the
overthrow of the last feudal dynasty in China. Since the founding of new
China in 1949, Wuhan has been a key area of national construction. at
present, it is an industrial and commercial city with iron and steel,
textiles, machine building, communication and commerce as its main lines.
Modern industrial and commercial activities have not detracted from the
charm of Wuhan as a tourist city. The East Lake on the outskirts, a vast
expanse of water surrounded by green peaks and hills, luxuriant trees and
flowering plants, is the largest and most beautiful scenic spot in the
Wuhan area. Yellow Crane Tower on Snake Hill, with its glittering
gold-colored walls, is the most impressive manmade attraction. Climb to
the top of the tower and you command a panoramic view of the whole city.
Additionally, there are beautiful legends about this tower handed down
from generation to generation which tourists and visitors will like to
hear.
Dongting

good-willed people.
Chongqing
Chongqing Built on steep
cliffs and hillsides in the southwestern part of China's inland, Chongqing
is also called the "Mountain City". Its has a subtropical
monsoon climate, with intense heat in summer and dense fog in spring and
winter, and therefore is also known as the "city of furnace" and
"city of fog". A city famous both historically and culturally,
Chongqing boasts many historic and scenic attractions. Pipashan (Loquat
Mountain) Park, from the top of which you can have a panoramic view of the
city; Jinyun Mountain, on which are many ancient buildings and cultural
relics; Futu Pass; Simianshan, or the four-sided Mountain; and the
Northern and Southern Hot Spring are among the best-known scenic spots. If
you are interested in history, you will want to see Diaoyu City, one of
the three largest ancient battlefields in China, and pay a visit to the
relics and remains associated with a famous Sichuan general. If you like
ancient art, there are the stone sculptures of Dazu, prized gems of
China's late rock grotto art. Other places you may wish to see are Red
Crag Village, former office building of the Chinese Communist Party in
Chongqing; the notorious Zhazi Cave and Bai's Mansion where the KMT
government kept political prisoners in the 1940s; and Lin Garden,
Confucian Garden, and Chiang Kai-shek's residence when Chongqing was the
wartime capital. In 1997, Chongqing became one of the four municipalities
under the jurisdiction of the central government. More than half of the
total length of the Yangtze Three Gorges lives within the Chongqing
municipality, including the 600-kilometer long reservoir area , in which
are sites like Fengdu the Ghosts City, Shibaozhai, Zhang Fei's Temple and
Baidicheng (White Emperor City), which add to the charm and attraction of
Chongqing.

The dam site is 27 miles upstream from Yichang City proper, at Sandouping
Town, 38km upstream from the Gezhouba Dam Lock, inside the third of the
Three Gorges. It is planned to be by far the largest hydroelectric project
in the world. The Project calls for the construction of a concrete dam, a
hydroelectric power plant and a series of locks just below the scenic
Three Gorges region. The project is designed to be built in three phases
and is scheduled for completion in year 2009. Upon arrival at Sandouping,
passengers will take a bus across the Three Gorges Bridge, which leads
toward the top of the hill for a birds-eye view of the construction from
the observation deck. Visitors will observe the five-step ship lock, the
diversion canal, the dam in construction, and the power station. English
speaking professional guides will be on hand to provide detailed
information on the history of the dam and facts on its construction. In
addition, an exhibition room displays a model of the dam, and offers
passengers another opportunity to ask questions and learn about the
benefits of this amazing project. One of the largest construction projects
ever undertaken in the world, the Three Gorges Project will forever change
the face of the Yangtze River as we know it today. Possessing
comprehensive utilization benefits mainly for flood control, power
generation and navigation improvement. It will be a vital important and
backbone project in harnessing and developing of the Yangtze River.
Measures have been taken to preserve and move the historical and cultural
relics found along its banks; however many scenic spots will be adversely
affected. The most dramatic section of the river, what we refer to as
"the heart of the Yangtze"-the area from the Three Gorges all
the way upstream to Chongqing-will eventually be drowned by the completion
of the Three Gorges Dam, an integral part of the Three Gorges.
Jingzhou
or Shashi Jingzhou, a well-preserved ancient city, was
also a place for its strategic importance. Many historical relics are
unearthed here, among which the bronze articles, silk and lacquered wares
are very notable. A more than 2000-year-old male body in the museum is the
most ancient corpse in a good state of preservation in China. Jingzhou
Museum and Ancient city wall are more attractive.
YICHANG
Yichang, a modern city, is situated at the entrance of Xiling Gorge. It
was formerly aplace contested by warlords and a battlefield of the "Yiling
War" in the Three Kingdoms Period. On the outskirts of the city,
there are the splendid Gezhouba Water Conservancy Project , Three
Travellers' Cave, Taohua Village of Peach Blossom), Research Institute of
Chinese Sturgeon, Ruins of Ancient Fortress, etc. The craft of Painted
Pottery is well-known for its distinguishing feature.
Huang
Shan
Located in the south of Anhui province. Mountain Huangshan is the
world-famous place of interests where there are many intoxicating
sceneries including the 72 major peaks of the mountain. It is famous for
the "four splendors" pine trees, strange rock formations, sea of
clouds and the hot springs. Of all ages, a large number of visitors are
attracted by its grateful sceneries, and have left lots of poems in praise
of it, and one of which is 'you don't want to visit any other mountains
after visiting five Great Mountains, and you don't want to visit the other
four Great Mountains after visiting Mt. Huangshan'. The famous tourist
attractions in Mt Huangshan are hot springs, North sea, west sea, cloud
valley Temple, Ciguang Garret and Yuping Building.
Mt.
Lushan in Jiujiang
It is in the North of Jiangxi Province with 302 square kilometers surface
Area.There're many scenic spots in the Mt. Lushan including the Lesser
Celestial Pond, the River -view Pavilion, Flower Path, the Valley of
Splendor, the Immortals Cave, Dragon's Head Precipice, Steel Boat Peak,
Yellow Dragon Pond, Three Precious Trees, MeiLu Villa (Chiangkai -Shck's
summer resort), the Hanbokou Peak, the Three Ladder Waterfall. In total
the number of ridges and peaks are 99. Yongxiu view is a sightseeing spot
that has been explored recently from south in Mt. Lushan. They're white
Lotus Park, Mt. clouds Living, Zhen'ru Temple, migrents protecting place
of Doyang lake, Twoling park. On February 6th, 1996, UNESCO listed Mt
Lushan in 'famous record of world legacy 'as 'world culture land scope'.

area.
Mt.
Jiuhua
Mt. Jiuhua is situated in the southwest of Qingyan Town in the west of
Anhui province. There're a lot of temples .It is the sacred place where
many faithful men and women went on pilgrimage, and is also the summer
resort where the scene is splendid and the climate is moderate. Of the
four famous Buddhist Mountains, Mt Jiuhua wins the first place and gains
the reputation of 'the first pilgrimage ' and ' the first mountain 'in the
southeast. It's also known for a large number of tourist attractions, such
as the strange rock, formations, the flying falls, the hambokou peaks, the
great celestial pond and the queer trees. Of all ages, many literary and
refined scholars or high -rank officials had been here, drinking and
talking about Buddhism and composing poems which left behind many much
-told tales.
Sanyou
Cave
Located in Xiling Gorge of Yichang, the Three Visiting cave has
breathtaking scenery and peculiar cave .The Tang Dynasty poet Baijuyi
traveled together with his younger brother BaiXinjian, they came across
another poet Yuansi, thus three of them were visiting this cave and
composing poets while drinking. Baijuyi composed "Three Visiting
Cave" and wrote it on the wall Thus, Sanyou Cave gained its name .The
Song Dynasty poets Suxun, Sushi and Suzhe also had visited this cave and
composed poems on the wall of it. Therefore, the three poets, Baijuyi, his
younger brother and Yuansi were called The former three visitors and the
another three were called the later three visitors, The cave faces the
alley whose precipices is very deep and it is over 6 metres high, 30
metres deep and 20 metres wide. It's warm in winter and cool in summer.
The view inside the cave is very splendid. There are numerous small holes
between the walls of it, so it enjoys the reputation " celestial
cave" on 'dreamland'.
Nanjing
Nanjing was called 'Jinlin' in ancient, and is now the capital of Jiangsu
province. It's a historical city as well as a tourist attraction .As many
dynasties established capital here, it has the reputation of 'The capital
of Ten Dynasties' Nanjing's industries include machine-building,
electronics, petroleum, Iron and steel, textiles, Shipbuilding and
foodstuffs. And there're many famous tourist attractions, such as Dr.sun
Yatsen's Mausoleum, The Ming Tomb, Linggu Monastery (valley of the soul
monastery)
Yangzhou
Yangzhou lies on the north bank of the Yangtze Rivet Where the great canal
meets the great river. The city has a history of 2,400 years, and many
traditional arts and crafts are still practiced: Lacquerware, paper-cuts,
Lanterns, embroidery, miniature gardens, and seal caving. Yangzhou's
famous tourist sight is the slender West Lake. This is a beautiful
man-made Lake dating from the Tang Dynasty, and surrounded by sweeping
widows and pavilions. Highlights of the place are the Fishing Platform,
the Five Pavilion Bridge and the White Stupa.
Shanghai
The unique charm of Shanghai lies in its special historic and geographic
condition, the rich store of culture of shanghai style and the great
development in recent years. Huangpu Bridge and Napu Bridge, hugging the
East pearl TV Tower, which seems like two dragons playing with a pearl,
and forms a new marvelous scene in shanghai. The people's square in the
city center is crowned by a few grand architectures. What's more, over 10
